We take every measure to ensure that each kitten is raised in optimal conditions, with proper veterinary care, nutrition, and early socialization to develop into a happy, healthy, and well‑adjusted companion. As responsible breeders, we stand behind the quality and health of our Oriental kittens, and we provide a comprehensive health guarantee to give our families peace of mind.
Our Commitment to Health
From the moment our kittens are born, they receive routine veterinary check‑ups to monitor their growth and well‑being. Each kitten is given age‑appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments to prevent common health concerns. Before joining their new families, all kittens undergo a thorough health examination performed by a licensed veterinarian to ensure they are in excellent condition.
Health Guarantee Coverage
Our health guarantee ensures that each kitten is free from any life‑threatening congenital or hereditary diseases at the time of adoption. If a kitten is diagnosed with a severe genetic health condition within the specified guarantee period, we will provide options for resolution, which may include a replacement kitten or assistance in veterinary treatment, depending on the circumstances.
Buyer Responsibilities
To uphold our health guarantee, we require new owners to take their kitten for an initial health check‑up with a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption. Maintaining regular veterinary care, vaccinations, and a healthy diet is crucial to your kitten’s long‑term well‑being. Neglect, improper care, or failure to provide veterinary attention will void the health guarantee.
Exclusions
While we take every possible step to ensure the health of our kittens, our guarantee does not cover minor or treatable conditions such as parasites, colds, allergies, or infections that can occur due to environmental factors. Additionally, the guarantee does not cover health issues resulting from improper care, accidents, neglect, or exposure to contagious diseases after adoption.

SALES AGREEMENT
1. The 72‑Hour Veterinary Window
All buyers are required to take their kitten to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption or delivery. If the veterinarian identifies a life‑threatening illness during this initial examination, the buyer may return the kitten for either a full refund or a replacement kitten. Written documentation from the examining veterinarian must be provided.
2. Congenital & Genetic Health Coverage
Sunshine Oriental Kittens provides a one‑ to two‑year health guarantee against congenital or hereditary defects, including conditions such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) or other breed‑related genetic concerns. If such a condition is diagnosed within the guarantee period, the buyer will be offered a replacement kitten from the next available litter.
3. The “No‑Pet‑Store” Clause & Return Policy
Our kittens are never to be sold, surrendered, or transferred to pet stores, shelters, or brokers. If at any time during the cat’s life you are unable to provide care, the kitten must be returned to Sunshine Oriental Kittens.
Refunds vs. Surrender: Refunds are only available within the initial 14‑day period. After that, no money is refunded, but we guarantee safe and responsible rehoming of the cat.
4. Non‑Refundable Deposit
A commitment fee of $350 is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit is non‑refundable and ensures that only serious adopters are placed on our adoption list.
Transferable Option: While deposits are non‑refundable, they may be transferred to a future litter if your circumstances change.
5. No‑Refund Exclusions
Refunds will not be issued for the following reasons:
Allergies developed after purchase.
Landlord disputes or housing restrictions.
Change of mind or “buyer’s remorse.” Adoption is a lifetime commitment.
6. Proper Care Requirements
The health guarantee is contingent upon responsible care:
The guarantee is void if the kitten is allowed outdoors unsupervised.
Declawing immediately voids all health guarantees, as it is considered inhumane and harmful.
Buyers must provide proper nutrition, veterinary care, and a safe indoor environment.
